October 21, 2009 -- The Westwood Middle School 7th grade football team completed a perfect 6-0 season!
with a 32-6 victory over Parma Hillside on Wednesday. The win gives Westwood the 2009 Northeast Ohio Junior High Conference championship. The team earlier won the Elyria Middle School city championship. The entire team played it's best game of the year. Scoring in the win over Parma was Demarcus Boone on an 80 yard touchdown run and an interception return of 60 yards. Domarion Wilkerson scored on a 5 yard touchdown run and added a 2 point conversion run. Hunter Parsh caught a 35 yard touchdown pass from Zach Hurst. Brendon Koziura rounded out the scoring with a 4 yard touchdown run. Outstanding offensive line play came from Tony Schaefer, Dylan Reis, Tyler Giorgini, and Alex Cox.

Outstanding defensive players for the Pioneers were Cory Rose, Kevin Cloen, Michael Smosny, Zack Axford, Michael Dolan, and Mandell Harrison.

The Westwood 2008 7th grade football team also had a 7-0 undefeated season last year!
