January 27, 2010 -- Radio personality "Big John" Jenkinson of Gold Country WOBL 1320AM and KoolKat Oldies 1380AM will broadcast live from the 5th Annual Elyria Schools and Community Mardi Gras Fundraiser on February 16, 2010.
The party takes place at Nick Abraham Ford, 1115 East Broad Street in Elyria, and is sponsored by the Elyria Citizen's Committee for Quality Education. All proceeds benefit the Elyria Schools.
Tickets are just $15 and include all-you-can-eat food favorites like cabbage and noodles, pizza, Italian pasta dishes, BBQ pork and chicken sandwiches, many side dishes and a wide variety of desserts, including a chocolate fountain!
In the Mardi Gras spirit, revelers can sit with psychics from the Crystal Era to have their fortunes told, and will have an opportunity to bid on creatively themed gift baskets and student artwork during a silent auction.
